Malacca UNESCO World Heritage City

Hi guys!! Welcome to my blog. Did you know that Malacca is UNESCO World Heritage City besides Pulau Pinang?

On 7 July 2008, Melaka was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO. Its heritage buildings, cultural enclaves and places of worship are visited by history buffs and tourists from around the globe. Participate in the exciting anniversary celebrations to commemorate the historic occasion.

The anniversary celebration is held in front of the Independence Memorial next to the ruins of the 16th century Portuguese Santiago Gateway in Bandar Hilir on last 4 years, the night-long celebration was a colourful display of the city’s unique culture and heritage.

Besides the captivating dances by cultural troupes from the Malay, Chinese and Indian communities, spectators and special guests were also treated to cultural performances by Malacca’s unique communities such as the Baba-Nyonyas, Portuguese, Chittys and orang asli.

The brightest highlight of the night was a dazzling firework display at the end of the three-hour performances that was capped off by street dancing among performers and members of the public.

Malacca Crocodile's Farm (Taman Buaya & Rekreasi Melaka)

Today, I would like to review Melaka Crocodile's Park. It located in Ayer Keroh, Malacca.

Taman Buaya & Rekreasi Melaka Sdn Bhd (Melaka Crocodile Park), a sprawling 3.5 hectare park, housed on reserved forest land has been in operation since July 1987. Taman Buaya & Rekreasi Melaka (Melaka Crocodile Park) has about 100 species of crocodiles from around the world such as African Dwarf, Siamese, Indian Mugger, Hunchback and many more and they are kept in an atmosphere that is almost equal to their habitat.

Taman Buaya & Rekreasi Melaka (Melaka Crocodile Park) are now having a new attractions; Malaysia In Miniature which was build with 13 replica of historical monument as a symbolic of 13 famous attractions in Malaysia. Now visitor will impress with the beautiful scenery of walkthrough Aviary Bird Park and various species of reptiles at Reptile’s House. The latest attraction at Taman Buaya & Rekreasi Melaka (Melaka Crocodile Park) is the Water Playground. Open to all, and it has an area of 6000 square feet and a depth of between 1.5” and 2.5”. Other attraction in this park includes a fun ride, fun games, haunted house and Trains Ride into Jurassic World.

Visitors are also invited to watch our live Croc’s Show presented by the experienced performer on every Saturday, Sunday, School Holiday and Public Holiday at 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Water Recreation Park

The Water Recreation Park is spread over a vicinity of 6000 sq feet. It places one round of adult slide, water jet tunnel, water curtain, shower umbrella and a replica of waterfall.

The depth of the water park reaches between 1.5’ to 2.5’

Reptile Corner

House for other reptilian such as Green Anaconda, Long Neck Turtle, Alligator Fish, Chinese Water Dragon, King Cobra, Alligator Snapping Turtle and many more.

Walkthrough Aviary

House for birds from many species such as San Conure, Love Birds and many more.

Mammalia House

House for mammalian such as Raccoon, South American Coati and Brazilian Iguana.
